CAPITOL HI Q PRODUCTION MUSIC LIBRARY TV

this is a nice addition to the "Music for TV Dinners" CD's I bought. This music defined a generation when you think about the 1950's and early 1960's this is what you think of.

CAPITOL HI Q PRODUCTION MUSIC LIBRARY SERIES

The best I have was another of Capitol's series called "Media Music" (both LPs and CDs), mostly composed of later music that was probably used around the late 70's/early 80's. Thanks for that! Neat you found those records. I have other Capitol Library records too, maybe I'll put some other tracks on the next volume. That particular track was taken from a "Capitol Hi Q L Series" album I found. I tried it out for myself! Thanks a million!!! Tue Jul 18, 01:53:00 PM Chris Sobieniak said.Ĭhris said. Keep up the great work on more volumes! Fri Jul 14, 11:46:00 PM Simon Templar said.

I've been trying to collect stuff like this personally, though it tends to be rather touch given how much of it often was used for more professional venues like in TV, and often aren't easily accessible to the regular public unless someone didn't pirated recordings on tape and all. Of course I'm probably the only one around who can appreciate stuff like this since I nearly grew up in that era (though I'm only 28). Their names were associated with work at Capitol Records in compiling a library of production music under the "Hi-Q" name, and many of their cues were used in many films, especially TV shows in the late 50's/early 60's (Warner Bros themselves even had to use it for several cartoons when a musicians strike went on around '58). Love noticing a John Seely/Bill Loose track here. Love what was put into this, and yes, this is really what made the past felt alive due to nature of the music. I have! I just needed the time to listen to it. Fri Jul 14, 08:40:00 PM Chris Sobieniak said. Would be nice to hear some more comments. Or perhaps people are too lazy to use the comment function.

:) Because, if this blog had background music (and I'm toying with that idea), this kind of stuff would be it! Look no further.

Download it and play it every day when you read MOA. It goes without saying that it's especially perfect to listen to whilst reading this blog. I'm already playing the HECK out of these tracks myself! And I'm glad he did! Not only is he saving me some time now (hehe), but more to the point, he's done a fantastic job!! He's pulled together a great mix of songs that really evoke the whole vibe I'm going for with Malls of America. Many months ago after I first posted my vintage shopping radio spots and jingles collection here (need to re-upload it yet again), I started slowly putting aside tracks to do this same kind of mix collection (seemed like an obvious no-brainer), but Chris has beat me to it. That Mall's Sick And That Store's Dead!īe sure and head over to Ultra Swank today, guys and gals, and download my pal Chris' absolutely groovylicious new mix collection, Retro Shopping Volume 1 - Music to Buy Toasters By! An amazingly cool musical treat consisting of vintage shopping-inspired tracks, that is sure to rock the world of anyone who digs this here blog!Ĭhris and I are on the same wavelength obviously.
